take your pick, do you think it is a fuel filter, a clogged cat, or what?

ok, my Z28 only does this intermittently, so i am thinkin the fuel filter. when ya really get on it, at the top of a gear, higher rpms, it will start bogging like it is out of gas. it just started to do this. but it only does it sometimes. there is no smoke when it does this, and no SES light. any ideas? and with the filter situation, are their 2 filters, or just one?
thanks in advance!
Josh
p.s.-i suggested a clogged kitty because i recently took the belt off of the A.I.R. pump in preparation for its removal and i have heard that that alone can cause the cat to clog. also, i have an exhaust leak now (possibly caused by more backpressure?) and the car now runs hotter at speed...and yes, i DO have the chin spoiler...
thanks in advance!

Maybe fuel filter, just as or more likely the fuel pump (mine was).
No A.I.R. didn't clog my cat in 2 years.
(Where in AL?)

No, but I've spent some time up north around Huntsville/Decatur. Rains a lot and humidity is stifling, trying to understand what's different about that and WA besides temp.

Can't complain about how people treat me down there (I just have to make sure I ask for unsweat tea...). But, haven't spent as much time in WA for comparison.
Now, give the parts store people a chance to show how nice they are when you go to get a new fuel pump. Get a new fuel filter while you're at it.
