Rousch Mustangs??

how fast are they. I'm getting ready to race a stage II rousch and he thinks it the sh#t. What he doesn't know is, it is sh#t. so does anyone know what the rwhp and 1/4 mile time is. I run 12.7 @ 115. I can't wait to smoke him. D&mn rustangs. ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if it wasn't for fords our tools would rust. Thanks all

I saw a program on Speedvision featuring the Rousch stangs tonight. Stage I has a body kit. Stage II has body kit+ basic power adders (headers, intake porting, and exhaust sytem, cold air too i think) and a stiffer chasis. Stage III (highest level) is Stage II + an Eaton supercharger and 4.1 gears (i think, not sure about the gears). Stage 3 is only rated for 385 hp/tq, Also has side exhaust (sweet ) and a crappy "custom" interior.

I may be wrong about Stage II though, i kinda didn't pay attention to that part ( ) If not the power adders, it's just body kit and suspension.

Stage III runs the 1/4 in 13.12 @108mph according to Motor Trend. All that for a mere $46K....What a waste of money

Its kinda fummy that Motor Trend made such a big deal out of the Mustang 365hp big deal.
A Trans Am comes from the factory with 325hp,if they did the same mods to it ,it would probably be around 450-500hp maybe more, and better looking.
Its not bad looking for a Mustang though.
The best Mustangs(in looks)were the 67,68,69,70 models.

It depends on the year I think- My friend has a 98 cobra roush stage 2. Stage 1 is just body and exaust. Stage 2 is stage 1 plus a full roush suspension( lowering springs shocks and a bunch of crap- makes car handel and get way better traction- ) floor mats and a tool box that mounts on the inside of the trunk. Stage 3 is a supercharger and motor goodies. If it is a stage 2 like his ( evan a cobra ) you would kill him

You'll smoke the guy. I raced one and beat him pretty bad. At the time I only had 9.7 compresion 350 and stock heads that came off of a crate motor with a comp high energy 268 and headers. The mustang had the side pipes and everything. I think he said that it was a stage II.

i forget what year it was, but it may be have been 97 or so. anyways, motor trend raced a camaro SS against a rousch. the ss beat the rousch in every single stat expect lateral g's i beleive. the ss was 29k while the rousch was 46k. i dont think u will have a problem.
