Okay im buying a 140MPH gauge cluster from a dude online, and I need to know whats the easiest or cheapest way to swap it into my 83 Firebird. I know I need a sending unit for the tranny, but where can I get one. Also, are any of the sending units different? Is there anything i'm forgetting?

Oh, one more thing - could I take a speedo sending unit from any F-body with 3.23 gears? Would they be the same, no matter how high the speedo goes?

From your signature, I can tell that your car is worthless. It probably runs like crap, doesn't start easily, and the interior, I can tell, is obviously ratty. You should sell it as soon as you can, advisably to some schmuck who can barely fit in the car and looks funny driving it. But sell it cheap. Then you can laugh at their misfortune. I'll give you $1,300 for it.

On tech, go out to a junk yard, find a sender from an 88, and install it. If the rearend gear is different on the junk car, just take it to a speedo shop and have it fixed.
