negative battery wire bolts to where on T/A?

I am puttting in a new ground wire on the 1989 T/A. I need to know where the battery ground wire bolts to the engine. The wire was never installed when i bought the car..... and it is a T/A so the battery is on the "wrong" side of the car, compared to the IROC. Thanks will be installing the new positive wire whilst i wait for the answer. thanks shawn

Very important that this is on a T/A , and not a camaro. The original wire is still there, but only like 2 ft long. So where does it go. I looked on the driver side, but all the serpentine stuff is using all the "head" holes. Please help..... A turned up the same question with no concrete answers way back to 2000!!!

I just went out and checked for you. It goes all the way down on the bottom front corner of the block, driver side. Behind the power steering pump. You should be able to see the threaded hole in the block. I can't imagine why they would have had it disconnected in the first place. BTW- It's a proven fact the TA has the battery in the correct position, the Camaro is all wrong.

No, I have a complete March setup, but I don't think it should make a difference. I can't see and kind of bracket being bolted in the hole I'm talking about. It is almost directly behind the PS pump. Not much room for anything but a wire. Look for the hole I'm talking about, see if you can find it.

Mine on both my 88 and 92 birds is bolted with the bottom-most bolt that holds the ps/alt bracket to the engine.

Not sure if it helps you, but on the engine we swapped into my GF's 85 Z28 it had an extended stud on top of one of the exhaust manifold studs. Wouldn't be my first choice for a ground with all the corrosion that the exhaust components get, but I wouldn't put it past GM.

Oh, the motor was out of a 91 formula originally.
