L98 Heads

Anyone have advice on putting L98 heads on an LG4 305? No emissions need be passed, and I would love to put a set on, since I can get them at a good deal through one of my friend's dads. What work would be necessary to make them work with my 305? I don't have many tools, so I would have to send them to a machine shop...
Thanks
Jon

don't think your intake will bolt up, the chambers are larger than your bore, with a lot of cam the valves may hit the block, you can machine the block for clearance

Those heads will work just fine with your 305. They have the dame 58cc chambers as the 305 heads, and all the vette L98 heads used the 86' and earlier intake bolt pattern, so you are ok there.

As far as perfomance, they are quite a bit better than the stock 305 heads, and do respond well to mild porting and gasket matching. Just don't port them out too much, the 305 needs high velocity, small ports.
