cold start =car bogs down until i punch it
My car is a 1989 RS with a 305 tbi. In a cold start it will sound like it wants to turn off until I rev the engine for a while. I get on the road and it still wants to turn off. I slam on the gas and it takes off real good and all that bull$#@% of the car wanting to turn off comes to an end. What the hell is wrong with this engine. Is it my tbi. I have a new set of plugs and wires. new fuel filter and pump.

If the filters are all clean, and the ignition system is functioning, you should check for vacuum leaks around the hoses, PCV, and gasket areas. Clean teh IAC control and air passages thoroughly, and reset the minimum air position at idle. One of these should cure the problem or get you closer.
