ignition problem
Whenever I turn the key in the ignition half the time the engine doesnt crank, and theres a loud whirring noise. sometimes it takes several key turns to get the car to start, it usually only does this when it hasnt been running in a few hours (like in the morning before work). When I got my exaust done the guy heard it and said it sounded like a dead spot in the starter. Is this the problem? if so what do I need to fix it and how much will it cost.

Yes, I had the same thing on my old V6 RS and it does nothing but progressively get worse. With mine, they put in a new starter and checked the flywheel for wear. After that, she started right up every time. Good Luck!
