Doing a spark plug change on my 1988 L98 tomorrow and I'm leaning towards the AC Delco Rapid Fires, but I've heard they are too long of a spark plug if you have SLP headers (which I have), is this true?

I used the Rapid fire #8s in my ZZ4TPI with SLP 1 5/8" headers. They offer the same clearance as the stock MR43LTS plugs that came in the ZZ4. Remember, the ZZ4 has angle plug heads. Hope this helps.

you can also get the accel shorty plugs for around $30. I used them for split angled plugs and they work great

I have the same exact set up, 1988 L98 with SLP 1 3/4" headers. I had the Rapid Fires and they went in fine. Just use a short spark plug socket.

IMHO The Bosch Platinum +4's fit beautifully.
