My 85 Z is obese! I am told of 3200 lb f-bodies in street trim, is this true and how do I get there? Anybody mind sharing the weight of their car and how you got there.

Give a yell out to the ODB. He's running VERY lean, but street-legal. I'll bet he can tell you where to shed 600-800 pounds.

See if you can search the old archives for Tim Burgess, he has a list that is so long you wouldnt believe it. It *may* be in the tech articles or somewhere over there. Complete list with weights and everything. I think he was around 3200 when he was done.

 

my car has a fiberglass hood, aluminum waterpump, heads, intake and radiator. The heater core and airconditioning equipment has been removed. The car with full interior weighed 3180. It had probably about 40 lbs of subframe connectors and aftermarket torque arm.

It started out as an 89 rs with no T tops and power windows/locks

 

My car with a quarter tank of gas, full stock interior, aluminum heads, water pump, and radiator, weighed 3350. Still have a/c and air pump. See sig for mods. That's without me of course.
