More LT1 related questions.

1. Can the heads and intake be mounted on some older type of block, with a belt driven water pump?

2. How many CCs are the heads?

LT1 heads have differnt locations for cooling passages, no provision for a rear coolant crossover, and require a coolant transfer tube to allow coolant flow at the rear of the heads. The intake port positions are different as well, adn the intake bolt patterns are similar to the Vortec heads (since the Vortecs were patterned from the LT1/LT4 heads).

They have 54.4CC chambers in either tachynite or bauxite.

I recall seeing a tube going from one head to the other on my friends '93 LT1, could that be a coolant transfer tube?

EDIT: the tube is in the back of the 2 heads!
