Just recharged AC with new DuraCool

I have a 90 Lumina V6 with 120,000 miles and the air was pumping out at 55 degrees. So i had this old can of DuraCool which isnt R-12. So i called DuraCool and they said they are compadable so i said sweet. I hooked up the guages and started the process and I got the AC down to 39.5 degrees. It was smokin coming out of the vents. Very nice product and very cold one too.

I'm thinking that's a lot like ICOR Hot Shot. Heavy in propane but compatible with R-12 and PE and mineral oils. As long as the pressures don't hurt your system, you should be O.K. I've used Hot Shot in auto systems for a few years, even though it isn't recommended because of the slightly higher system pressures and tendency to liquify at higher temperatures (possibly creating slugging). I've had no problems ins my cars.
