e-brake light lights up when i hit trunk release button...
and the trunk wont open,, anyone wanna explain how this magically happened? trunk wont pop when i use the alram thing either, i have to use the key,,

The hatch release is interlocked with the parking brake such that if the engine is running, the p-brake must be pulled in order for the release to work. The light coming on dimly when the hatch release is operated is normal.

Axle/Gears: 3.73
Check the relay under the dash on the PS side. It is located between the where the dash pocket mounts and the metal "box" towards the center. You have to pull the relay down to get to the harness.
Also check the connections by the popper towards the rear of the car. (I have the same car)

Dont forget that on automatic transmissions, the hatch release is wired through the park/neutral switch, and not the parking brake like manuals are.
