How much hp, do i get usin a supercharger.

Hey ya,
i just wanna know how much hp, do i get by puttin a compressor on my 305 engine?
It's a 1983 Camaro Z-28, with a 4bbl 305 engine, no TBI.
The compressor is a Aluminium 10-71 Roots-compressor.
I attached a pic....

Hi HawkeyeGT welcome to the boards

First off I would research if you can get a sbc manifold for a 10-71 the biggest one I have seen is for a 8-71

As far as HP it will be as much as you build the engine to handle..... there are a lot of things to think about and it also depends on how you are going to use it!

Here is some good tech info

Edit: I did find a 1071 manifold on the BDS site but it is a compitition manifold and would need the right heads and other machine work done on it for "street" use

"Chevy 265-400, 671-871 competition blower manifold. The manifold is a 4.10" tall and has two 3/8" NPT water outlets on the front. It can be opened up to accept 1071 blower, and will need an offest distributor with this size blower. Designed for rectangle port heads. This manifold can be machined for backfire valve or burst panel. Polish option: Part# C7081P"
