Virtual Dyno
Virtual Dyno
I just downloaded "Stock Plus V1.1" by Engin Pro Software. I thought it was pretty good until I tried to run a required HP based on estimated ET.
The stupid program is telling me that I will need 397 HP to run a 20 second 1/4 mile. This is based on the following info:
Weight: 3400 lbs
Peak HP: 5500 RPM
Peak Torque: 4500 RPM
Tire Size: 27"
Gears: 3.42
Am I doing something wrong or does this program just suck?

For some reason the demo did not work for me either. But I almost bought a used one of eBay. It was the full blown version. I was reluctant to purchase it because I go the same wacky HP and 1/4 mile times you obviously did.
I have bought DeskTop Dyno just for fun and I love it. Also out now is some Drag racing dyno software too. I have not found one comparable to the above mentioned. If you are serious about racing it is worth the investment.

Piracy is a no-no. Please dont discuss it on Dirk's boards.
