Insert valve
Install valve seal, caution, valve stem edges can be sharp, be careful, use a dab of oil and slowly install.
Install spring cup/locator
Install spring and place retainer on top
Compress springs and install locks
Slowly release the spring and ensure the lock sits correctly
Repeat 15 more times.
Its pretty much straight forward...

migth want to add check/shim for install height on springs. smack the valve with a soft hammer after assembly to set things or make them fly apart. i use b&s valve guide lube on stems and seats, wear surgon gloves has lead in it.

what about lapping compound ? also, don't you install the valve seals after you check the springs and everything. Does anyone have complete step by step to check it all and do it right? also what about shims, how do you check the heights?
