Car: 83 Black T- top Firebird
Engine: Carbed 350
Transmission: 5 speed
changing console
i have a v6 with a t-5 and want to swap to v8 but don't have enough to get a t 56 so can a put auto in it with having to change the center console or driveshaft or anything. i am planning for no computer. thanks for any input

Axle/Gears: 4.11 posi Ford 9"
Drive shaft is the same for both the T5 and a 700R4.
As for the console, you'll probably need a shift plate for it (so you can see what gear you're in and have the right size and type boot), but the base should be fine.
