Two ways to port plenum which is better?
I have already grinded the egr walls down. But I did not get any type of performance gain. I have seen where they have ported it out so that the TB is just one big hole. They do this by removing the piece that splits the air up in the TB opening. I am still running the stock TB, will I see any difference in doing this, and is it safe?

You may actually induce some turbulence directly behind the TB by removing the entire opening. For an overview, check this file:

I agree w/ Vader. When i opened mine up, i blended the openings back as well as i could to provide as smooth a transitin as possible. Thats what it's all about.
Think about it. By removing that divider entirely, you haven't opened any extra area up for flow. You have only increased the plenum volume by some negliogible amount, but now ehn the air leaves the back of the TB it breaks up on the sharp edges and reduces flow.
As to why you didn't see any gains, well depends on the year/engine/tranny. If you have a peanut cammed stock 305, i wouldn't doubt you don't see much. I don't really notice mine that much really. Other factors can play in too, like maybe you're running lean and opening it up more has leaned it even more. I'm running bumped FP and i'm still on the lean side.
