Emissions Test With Modifications - Help!

Well, the time has finally arrived. My 84 Camaro needs to pass an emissions test. The problem is, all provisions for emissions control were removed years ago including the converter. I have a 355 with a performer RPM intake, holley 650 (vacuum secondary), headers, relatively eratic camshaft (high lift and duration), cast heads with modest machining done etc. I am not sure what to do. I realize that putting a converter back on would be a good start, but the lack of original equipment inhibits my ability to add the other emissions equipment. Therefore, I will most definitely fail the visual inspection and I can guess the emissions will be high.
Others must be in the same situation. What have you done to pass? How do you get around this problem?

Thanks for the help.
Brian.

First, go to Canadian Tire and ask them what they check for visualy, and the emmision levels that are passable. This will help u get an idea of what your going to need to do to pass the test. Or you can email me with your location and i could possible set u up with a garage i know that wili issue u a pass.
