Engine wiring and components

This may be slighty off topic, but it is a third gen Camaro question, just trying to find out about the engine. I am trying to take the L03 from a '91 RS I am parting out and put it in a '76 K10/ '75 K20 combination I have. What all sensors and components do I have to swap over to this pickup. The computer doesn't need to see the VSS signal does it? This doesn't have to work perfect (you should see the pickup). Thanks for any help you can give me.

Does the pickup already have an engine? If so, you could go real easy, swap the intake carb and distributor from the pickup onto the 305 and away you go.

No I pulled the engine. I could do the distributor and carb swap easily, I have lots of them laying around. I just wanted to swap in the EFI for the heck of it. It doesn't matter how nice it is, its just a farm truck. Also the 305, while gutless is a nice running engine and with the 3/4 ton, 4.11:1 geared axles, it doesn't need much power. Last winter I ran a slapped together 350 that had to poped head gaskets in the truck, the L03 will be a step up.

If you want it to work, you will need the passenger side wiring harness, the computer, and all appropriate sensors. You can bypass vats, I dont know how, but I have seen info on doing it, a would definately provide that. Its not too terribly hard, but it probably isnt worth the headache. I think I would go with a carb.

Yeah I already have the passenger side wiring harness stripped out. How abot what runs into the bulkhead connector on the driver side of the firewall, any of that required.

Don't like the carb idea, I have been running them for ever and the EFI is just nice sometimes.

What are you going to run for a fuel pump? I would guess just a cheap aftermarket electric? TBI doesnt need nearly as much pressure as say, TPI, so a cheaper one would suffice. If you wanted to use the factory one I guess you could. It wouldnt be real hard. If so, you should retain the factory relay, and a Oil pressure shut off switch, etc.

Just the L03 or a new 350 TBI pump would be fine. They arent expensive.
