lt1 piston question

what size rings does an lt1 engine have on a stanrdard bore?? are they 5/16???

ok whats the deal were it say .001- .005 over sized.. thats not very much i would assume thats for re-ringing a slightly worn motor?

Yes... that would refer to their bore diameter, not their thickness. That would be 4.000", plus any oversize.

hey rb i just took this thing all apart and noticed that i have different sized rings than i thought. it looks like the top one is thicker than the one under it.

any ideas on size with a set like that??
