BIG HESITATION on WOT?
i'm worried....from a stand-still, when i smash the gas it hesitates really bad an then starts pickin up...whats causing this?...i think its a carb problem because the carb has been rebuilt 3 times an the guy i bought it from said it needed a new one...but was just wanted to see what the more experienced 3rd gen owners had to say

Sounds like a tuning problem... It sounds to me like the carb is bogging down from too much fuel. What kind of carb is this? Has it been modified?
Also, whats your ignition timing set to?

More likely, it's from NOT ENOUGH fuel; or more accurately, too much air.
Sounds like the secondary air valve tension is set too loose. It's a "tuning" type of adjustment, with a spec that it's supposed to be set to during a rebuild.
Take the air cleaner off, and see how much pressure it takes on the top of the blades of the air valve (looks kind of like throttles covering the top of the 2 large rear barrels) to open the valve. It should take a pound or so, and the valve should spring back readily by itself. Look in the very center of it; there's a little hanger, should have 2 chrome-looking rods hooked into it; make sure all of that is there like it's supposed to be.
