Wiper motor
Does anyone know for sure if a wiper motor from different model years of third gen camaros will interchange? I have an 82 Camaro and am wanting to put a new wiper motor on since mine has died, will one from say an 85-89 bolt up and work? I've got a number of guys who have said they have motors from 84-89 but I'm trying to determine which ones I can use on my car. Thanks for any info..

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
Three different ones are available, and each one has two types. The two types are delay, and non-delay.
The different styles are: 1)the 82 and 83 used a larger 'fat' motor and have a different mounting pattern than the later ones; 2) the 84-87 used a smaller 'thin' motor with an integrated washer pump; and 3) the 88-92 still used a 'thin' motor, but the electrical connections changed, and the pump was re-located (tank-mounted?).

Thanks Petes 84z, I appreciate the info before I buy something I cannot even use. I may as well go to Auto Zone and buy a new one from them since the cost for a delay motor complete is only 53.99.
