Dual Snorkle questions
Hello all, I want a dual snorkle air cleaner due to my tight budget i just bought a k&n filter for my stock cleaner and want to re-use it if possible, but i'm not sure if it'll fit under my hood, i have a 90 firebird 305, everything stock but a cat back, I live in IL so i was wanting to keep the thermacs for the winter if i don't find another car to drive, anyway i really like the look of the snorkles, but if it doesn't fit i'll go with the cheaper open element.

Ok, but will the dual snorkle fit under my hood with the air conditioning? and will it clear a stock hood or does it sit too high? Thanks for your help!

My '83 L69 had AC and the air cleaner cleared fine. I dunno if a '90 car would be set up differently though.

Make your own out of an additional LG4 aircleaner from the wrecking yard. Just use a dremel cutting wheel to cut off the inlet off the the wrecking yard part and then cut a opening on the side of your exisiting aircleaner, then JB weld and screw the other metal inlet tube on. You can buy some flexible tubing from autozone to connect it to the front end or look around the GM wrecks at the scrap yard for a plastic inlet that might fit. I think I used a tube (cut one down) from an 80's Caddillac.
