Just a couple of questions.....
I'm not real great on working on cars, so I was wondering, When you guys change your thermostats in your cars, do you take off your intake manifold? In my 92 RS 6 cyl my thermostat is pretty far underneath the manifold. And I just can't reach it. Every time I get the socket on and I try to turn it, it slips off and I bust my knuckles. Also I need to change my spark plug wires and there is one that I can't reach to pull off. Like I said, I don't know much about cars so bear with me, It's the wire for the plug closest to you on the left side when looking under the hood. Please help me out, I know this is something really really simple for you guys!
never worked on a v6 in a thirdgen, except this bastard car i here, but i'm sure no one removes the intake to service the t-stat. look in to buying a universal socket ,wobble extension ,or long, short ,deep off set wrenches.

You can get the t-stat with the wobble or a wrench.
As for changing plugs in the 6's, the passenger side is a PITA, but you could get all of them using a 6" extension and plug socket. No wobble. You have to work blind on that one feeling it in there. Use a piece of vacuum hose over the plug to get it started as these threads are aluminum and your working blind because the egr bracket is right in the friggin way, it's real easy to THINK you have it started.
My hands usually feel like they've been sent through a meat grinder after changing my v6's plugs.
Good luck with your proj... Use anti-seize.
