sunday night coming home from the races an 87 ta rated at 205 hp raced my 86 and my car is rated at 210 hp stock . i believe that the 87 ta had 3;27 gears my 86 has 2;77 anyway my 86 beat him by four car lengths.
a couple days after i met the guy and said he wanted to race me next week when his headers were installed.
how bad would i beat him now

 

hard to say, go find out. there are hundreds of variables when racing. your 86 came stock with 190hp and an 87 305 had 190 too.

the trans am cam in 86 was not detuned only on the camero. this tech board is only for the camero the ta's specs are alot different

look under the trans am firebird specs and see what they are rated at

He will probably pick up a couple more carlengths, driving abilities aside.
