?Starter Problem?

ok for the past month or so somtimes when i go to start my car it will just click, and not do anything. i try it again samething. mabye 4 or 5th time it starts. and today it just wouldnt start. just kept clikc, click, click. then nothing( i think my battery went dead but dunno?) would this be a starter issue? and if not wat would it be?

I'd say the battery. Its free to have it checked out, and a hell of a lot easier then ripping out the starter and having it tested. But if that starter isn't getting enough juice, it'll just click click click like you said. It will still show 12VDC, but it just doesnt have the electrical current capacity to turn the starter motor

Check the battery, like stated. Also check all the connections between the battery and the starter. Check for clean connections and good tight connections. Make sure the battery is properly grounded to both the block and the fender. Might be worthwhile to inspect the ground strap behind the passenger side cyl. head, it goes to the firewall. But, of those, biggest things are the connections and battery.

ok i came back later that night and it started right up???? so i would think its either a dead spot on the starter or a low battery? ill check the battery out today to see if its ok. any other suggestions?
