Have you ever seen a headlight motor do this?
Drivers side headlight door not working, its not the switch, any of the relays or any of the wiring. I rebuilt the motor awhile ago, so its not that. I open it up tonight, and all the wiring at the top of the motor shaft is burnt to a crisp. Everything in there is brown and crackly or gooey. I could smell it before I opened it up. Anybody else ever have this problem?

I wouldn't ignore the posibility that the motor 'may' be BAD.
Usually the problem is extremely close to where the 'factory installed' smoke came out.
Good luck with it.
