When I get rid of the smog pump and all the hoses, what size belt will fit my car? And is there a part number? Thanks

 

You may want to try doing a search, as I know it's been covered many times.

If you have a serpentine belt setup (I'm assuming you do, since your car is a '92), I think you'd need a smog pump delete pulley. Don't hold me to this, though. In that case, the belt size would remain the same. However, it may also be possible to just buy a shorter belt, provided that it doesn't interfere with any bracketry.

I'm used to working on V-belt cars. I don't have a smog pump... all I had to do was pull the pump and remove the belt.

 

You can run it with out the smog pump. you just need to get one that is a little smaller and try it out. I might take a few trips to the parts store though.

I just went up to autozone and told them I had a 95 chevy 1500 with a 350 tbi and had them give me the belt for one without a smog pump and with a/c and it fit like a glove. Good Luck.
