Can I swap a V6 aluminium radiator in my car?

Okay my dad just bought an 87 camaro POS for my sister. It looks like a$$, doesnt run (in fact we pulled the engine, its sitting in the garage now). Long story short, it won't need a radiator for a while... :P It has the stock V6 aluminium radiator, and I'm pretty sure it will bolt right into my car, but will it cool my engine better? I am tired of not being able to use my A/C beacuse the car overheats with it on. Also, do you guys think my stock non-aluminium radiator will cool the Camaro, even with the A/C on? Help, its getting hotter every day, I need my A/C! Also, I have seen alot of V6 camaros and firebirds with aluminium radiators, but they are really thin - would one of these cool my car good if my dad doesn't wanna swap?

if you have an overheating problem i doubt if this swap will fix it and may make it worse since the radiator might not be as big as one for a v8. since you already have it thought it's worth a shot and shouldn't cost you much if anything to do it.

NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!This will NOT fix your problem....i had an aluminum V6 radiator in my STOCK 305 T/A and it couldn't even go 30 miles without overheating....you need to find a 4 core radiator or a Griffin or something like that....

Well I hate to disagree with the general consensis but.
When I replaced the radiator in my camaro I asked the guy at autozone to cross refrence a v6 just to see if there was a difference. No!
There the same radiator 1 core is stock , the only difference is the shroud on the 6 is larger "assuming manual fan, not electric" same dimentions and capacity. Well instead of spending 180$ just get an autozone or any parts store for that matter 80-120$ 3 or 4 core.

BTW my ac worked killer with the 3 core also it ran 180ish with ac off and 200 with ac on untile i ripped the ac out.
Man i wish i saved my parts.
