Can't start my 92RS
Its been sitting on the street for a few months without being started. The car will make a loud sound like the starter hitting against the flywheel, but only once, and it doesn't have enough power to turn the engine. Occasionaly, it turns the engine like half a turn, but that's about as far as it will go. I know its not the battery cause i tried it w/ a good battery and i even tried jumping it. It still does the same thing. When i checked my oil, there was a thick slump of oil on the dipstick w/ what looked like metal shavings. Is my engine seized or what? Thanks

I only replaced the distributor cap, injector pad, and egr valve. These three werer off the car for several months as well. I didn't touch the motor or anything else that would cause this problem. I'm thinking that it might have been possible for some water to get into the engine and mixed with oil which then rusted interior engine components. There was some water on the dipstick also. Or maybe the starter is not getting enough juice from the battery?

I know this sounds stupid, but make sure everything is connected to the distributor and that your wires are hooked up in the right order. Even underneath your cap. Later, Blue
