Where is the wire to disconnect so you can set the Timing. I just put a new motor in my wifes car and don't know where this blasted wire is so I can set the timing. I have adjusted it the best I can with a timing light but I am still way too far off because the exhaust starts to glow after about 5 mins. The cat is gutted so I know its not clogged. It has all new injectors so I can't imagine that would be the problem. So please help me set the timing properly.

I'm not certain on the 2.8, but the 151 doesn't have a bypass connector - the ALDL diagnostic pins are shorted to force a base timing mode. Your might be similar.

little more info on year might help. i found the info in a manual the only time i worked on a fiero. like vader said i had to jump the ALDL.
