Head Porting Tips
im about to port my 081s for my 305. im confident i can do a nice job. but i want to know what and what not to do. pictures are helpful. i want to go all out on these, im trying to squeeze every ounce of hp from this thing.

Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
What to do:
Sitting Bull talks about it all the time (just today, even). Link contained in his sig.
What not to do: Expect "every ounce of hp" to be all that much. TPI is going to limit power a lot more than the heads.

The same instructions w/photos are included in their deluxe porting kit in poster form. I tacked it over the bench while doing the work. The head they used just happened to be a 305 head.
Most people find that carbide burr & tree bits also come in handy, in addition to what's in the kit.

I found This book to be a pretty big help last winter when I ported a set of 416 heads.
