Firehawk valve-train quests?
I'm researching data on the 92 Firehawk engine so that I can clone one (minus the intake) for SCCA autocross competition. I've figured out most of the engine specs except the details on the valve-train.
Did the Firehawks have roller rockers or stock style stamped rockers?
Were the rockers 1.5 or 1.6 ratio?
Were the lifters and pushrods anything other than stock type parts?
If anyone could could answer any of these question it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

i dont know for sure, but i do know that the roller rockers were a part offered by GM then... i dont know the rules by the book, but if a era correct factory performance part was available then, are you allowed to use it? because if so, you can just get some bowtie rockers....

MrDude_1,
Street Prepared rules allow the use of any engine that was available in any 3rd gen from the factory. The engine must be just as it was from the factory with the following exceptions:
The intake manifold is free for modification or replacement.
Rotating part may be balanced but not lighted.
The engine can be rebuilt (allowing non-stock bearings and boring the cylinder up to .04").
If any part is no longer available from the manufacture, an equivalent part may be substituted.
In addition if I am protested, they have to prove I am wrong, not the other way around.
