Final word on a/c and smog removal...

Ok, after numerous searches I've read many opinions and methods for removing both ac and smog.

The one I want to do is this one (cheapest!)

Has anyone run this setup? Does it work? And what size belt?

Yes, I know 1LE delete pulley is simple, but GMPartsDirect won't ship to Canada and dealers want $125 for it!!!

That routing is slightly different - I wonder how much contact is being made with the power steering pump pulley in that one - does anyone else have experience with this or know the lengths with either of these routings?

the problem with taking a pulley away from the system where the AC would be is that now the idler/tensioner is running on the wrong side of the belt. The grooves of the serpentine belt would be running on a smooth pulley. Not too sure if this is ok to do but if you could somehow get a grooved pulley to put on the tensioner arm you are good to go.

You'd have to flip the tensionor upside down so that it pushes up and out and not down.
