Stripped Allen Style Bolt?

Ok, i've been trying to get this bolt off my car, but the head of it is an Allen style head. The head is stripped. I mean i can put a Allen Wrench in there, but it just turns, w/no luck of moving the bolt at all. Its completely round in the middle. Any suggestions on how i can get this bolt out of my car?
thanks in advance

Can you get pliers/vice grips on the head? That'd be your easiest solution.
Otherwise you'll need yourself a drill and an extractor set. Basically, you drill a small hole in the middle of it, then you put the extractor in. The extractor is basically tapered left handed drill bit, so as you turn it to loosen the bolt, it digs into the hole.
Also, you might be able to take a hacksaw blade/file and cut a groove for a screwdriver.

You might be able to get a torx bit thats slightly larger than the round hole..and hammer it in.

or weld a regular nut onto the head of the allen head through the middle of the nut

Drill into the bolt and then use an Easy-Out. Just don't drill larger than the size of the bolts shank.

I got another question about easy-outs,
So, i just drill the hole in the bolt, and screw in the easy-out clockwise? the instructions aren't really clear... after its screwed in, i just remove it like i would a normal bolt?
thanks,

Abe, the screw extractor will have to be installed counter-clockwise. Once it it seated in the drilled hole, you might want to tap it lightly into place with a small hammer to seat it firmly. Turn the extractor counter-clockwise to remove the screw. If the screw is seized, you should have been using a penetrating oil to loosen the bond.

Two cautions to be aware of. Allen cap screws are generally much harder than even grade 8 fasteners (or metric 10.8 spec bolts), so drilling can be difficult unless you have a cobalt ot carbide drill. Also understand that the extractors can be broken easily, and are very difficult to remove once broken. Avoid any force on the extractor other than twisting. If you force teh extractor sideways while turning, it stands a good chance of breaking, then you'll REALLY be screwed...
