305 manual vs. 350 automatic (both TPI)
What are the differences in handling and performance between these two?
The reason why I ask is that a friend who had driven a 350 auto said my 305 manual seemed to have noticeably less low end torque/power. The wheels wont't spin as easily at low rpm:s.... are these cars that different or is there something wrong with mine. In this case, what?
Should also add that my car has no cat and is chiptuned so about 250 hp. Shouldn't that make it atleast equal to a stock 350???

The 350 does have quite a bit more torque than the 305. Any handling difference you might feel would probably be the rear end getting squirelly by getting on the throttle too much.

What brand/size tires are you running, that makes a huge difference in tire spin.
My 86 LG4 5 Speed Trans Am would roast 225/60/15's all day long without dumping the clutch at low speeds/rpms. With the same setup and 275/40/17 BFG KDW tires the car would bog a bit and then go with no tire spin at all.
