what the hell just happened?!?!
i stopped behind sum guy and he decided to park to i tried to go around him but i forgot it was in 4th gear so i went around him doin 3mph at like 4000 rpms then wen i get to the light i put it in nutral to downshift to fist cuz i was stoppin and even tho i took my foot off the gas it like stayed at like 2500rpms so wen i put it in first i jus took the turn and put it in nutral and took both feet of the pedals and it kept givin gas so i pulled over and turned it off. i sat there for a minute and turned it back on and drove home like normal. can anyone tell me what happened and should i be worried?

In open loop your car will idle higher. This builds oil pressure and heats up the motor faster. It is not uncommon for a TBI motor to run at 2k rpm on cold start-up. I bet your tach is off just like every TBI vehicle on the road and your motor really isn't running that high. Double check the obvious things like floor mats and carpet that can reach up and grab the gas pedal. Also, play with the throttle under the hood (car off) and see if it sticks open. Many TBI units need a good cleaning around the throttle spring shaft.
