Get a SuperRam kit, or....? Any other options?

I am not sure what I want to do with my car. Here are my choices:

1) Sell car, buy a 91-92 Z with TPI. Buy Super Ram plenum and runners, put that on top of my 406, have fun.

2) Keep car, buy a junker to drive around in for a few weeks ($500 at most). Rip out 305 TBI. Buy the SuperRam KIT (~$3000), put that on top of the 406, have fun.

( I do realize that I will have to do a few things to the suspension so the 406 wont kill the car, I got that under control, though )

The first option seems the most logical to me for some reson. I can probably pick up a 91-92 Z in good shape for 4000-5000 bucks. I can sell my car for 3000-4000 to make up for most of that. I could sell the Plenum and Runners off the Z to make a few bucks, and put the SuperRam intake on it. Anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks guys!

I would save yourself the DMV trips, I hate that place. Buy the superram and stick it on your 406 in your car. Thats what I would do.

How hard is the install of the SuperRam kit? Will I have to rip out my entire engine wiring harness? How much of a PITA will it be to wire up the SuperRam, and can I get it for any cheaper than $3000?

Hi Scott,

The Super Ram plenum/runner set is a replacement for the OE plenum and runners. It retains all the stock sensors and emissions components. You should replace the stock base intake manifold with a high-flow aftermarket unit at the same time, as the stock base intake will impede flow.

I have some installation tips for the Super Ram that should make it much easier to install, if interested drop me an e-mail.
