I think the ECM, Prom and harnesses are all the same for 85-86. I went to a 350 TPI and everything except one or two sensors and the fuel injectors were pretty much the same.

the good thing is if you are making a high power high reving engine the corvette engine is a 4 bolt main with a forged steel crank. that is the same block that I have and am currently rebuilding.

------------------
97 formula w/6speed,cags skipshift eleminator, hurst billet pro shifter, 30#injectors,adjustiable fuel presure regulator,Moroso cold air induction, ported mass air sensor,accell300+ ignition box, accell 9000 wires, bosch platnum4 plugs, flomaster crossflow muffler,Lingenfiter 52mm throttle body,TPIS L98 SuperProfile cam,Crane 1:6 full roller rockers,Edelbrock subframe connectors,Edelbrock strut tower brace.

Other car is a 89 GTA w/700r4w/stage 2 shift kit, corvette servo, B&M mega shifter, TPIS bigmouth intake, TPIS large tube runners, TPIS 52mm throttle body,Edelbrock ported centerbolt heads,LT1 24# injectors,GMPP LT4 hotcam,CompCams Pro magnum roller rockers,Edelbrock headers, flowmaster crossflow muffler,MSD 6A, accell coil, bosch platnum plugs, this car is currently under rebuild and restoration.

Absolutely NOT!!! '85 F and Y body ECM and PROMs are unique.

85F-body, I highly advise that you buy "Jaguars that Run's" book on TPI and TBI Swapping.

Actually, the Vette L98 block is a 2 bolt main too. It wasn't until the LT1 block that they used 4 bolt mains.

And the eproms and ecms are different from the F-body, depending on the year. Vettes used a slighlty different ecm that was designed to work under the hood. On the SD eprom, the Vette's also had a sensor input for the Oil Temperature. If you use a Vette eprom in an F-body, you must disable the Oil Temperature Sensor reading or you will trigger an SES code. Not sure about MAF cars, but it wouldn't surprise me to find a similar parameter.

But you can most certainly use the Vette L98 in an F-body. Just make sure you know all the subtle differences. There are a few.
