Im runnin a system .. amps pushen 1000 watts.. so i need a bigger alternator and i kno it.. i think the system killed it.. so im thinken a 140+ what would be the easiest alt to hook up with not a lot of fabrication.. money isnt an option. I kno my alt went bad because when i hooked up the new battery, it said 13.5-14. volts right away then dropped to 12.... then turned the lights on now were down to 10 and so on.. lol shes shot any opions will be greatly apprieciated!

we are running a 1000 watts in the 94 with no problems. ai would just go with an OEM replacement, buy one with a lifetime warrenty and be done spending $$$$.

If you are running a big system, dont waste your time with OEM replacement alternators, just get a good one so you can forget it. I went through 4 in a year, before i gave up on it. Where I live there is a guy that builds alternators and starters. He took my stock alternator, and for 80 bucks, rebuilt it the best it can be. It tested out at 14x ( I forget exact number) amps, and perfect voltage. I ran my system for another year and a half, with no problems at all out of it. I still have the alternator too. When I did the 2.8 > 350 swap, I couldnt re-use it, at least not easily.

autozone has the 108 amp upgrade alt. $60 lifetime warranty. I have only replaced mine once and it was my fault.
I run 1200 watts and also have extra fog/running lights with no problems.
Though you gotta spin the back plate. You remove the screws for the alt case. Then only lift it just enough to spin the case around. if you lift to high the brushes fall and and you gotta take it back and get another. Just say it didn't work.
It is a little bit of work but worth it.
