T5 imput shaft hits pilot bearing in 305 to 350 swap
All the T5 parts transfered to new 350 block.
Tried to put motor and tranny together and
found out pilot bearing is not as recessed in the 350 crank as the 305 ? Needs to go in another 1/4 inch but there is a small step built into the crank that I thought is
there to position(stop) the bearing. Anyone
else run into this ?

I'm sorry, remeasured it again this time with the motor on the ground not dangling over the
engine compartment. Looks like there is enough clearence(depth).
Motor would just not move that last 1/4 inch
while trying to install. I will have to look
at it more carefully before I try again.
Everything looks like it lined up real good,
used the alignment tool from clutch kit
(Ram powergrip)??
