What did I break this time!?!?!?!

Ok heres my problem

The other day my friend wanted to see what a Trans Am could do...he drives an early 90's couger what can I say...so I did some nice doughnuts..ya know where your car gets spinning like it has a center axis on the ground..it was really sweet...but heres my problem

Later that night this developed...Whenever I do any medium to heavy acceleration I feel and bump....a big bump....what did I break..an engine mount, tranny mount, It feels like the transmission hitting the floor rite under the shifter sometimes.

Anyway...am I gonna be driving and is my engine gonna fall out....dont say yes cause I know it wont but how much will it cost to buy engine mounts and get installed.?.

thanx for any help!

Brian

Sounds like a tranny mount to me. Get one from PST or Energy Suspension with the interlocking metal pieces. These are almost impossible to break!

i'd have to agree, it's about a guarentee you broke the trans mount. fairly easy and cheap to replace. has a broken rear end feel to it when it's bad.

The installation is a piece of cake, and I wouldn't waste the money having someone else do it! I think there's a tech article here for it... https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/t...nnymount.shtml
I got my polygraphite transmission mount from PST and I think it was $35.
