I think I can help, but I am unsure about something. I am not sure if the compressor for the V8 (these directions are for V8 cars) and V6 cars are the same. I would try and double-check before you yank all the AC stuff out. If they are the same, then here's what to do:

The only thing you will need to buy is an AC delete pulley. It bolts right in to the stock location (where the AC compressor was). You can get it from your local GM dealership or a place such as www.gmpartsdirect.com . The part number for it is 10055890. Removing the AC has no effect on the ECM. You can just leave the compressor on if you want, but most people just get the delete pulley.

The first thing you should do is get the system discharged from a shop. It is illegal to vent refrigerant into the atmosphere :nono: .

Now for the parts removal. It's pretty simple. The first thing to do would do is remove the lines. Then take the belt off and remove the AC compressor and install the delete pulley and put the belt back on. Then unbolt the radiator, slid it back a little, and remove the condensor. Then remove the receiver/drier (the round can-looking device). Now cap off the the two big lines that lead into the blower unit/heater box (the big black box on the passenger side firewall) with some large vacuum or heater hose caps and your done. You could build a custom AC delete box (what I did) if you want or buy a non-AC heater box from certain places, but the non-AC heater boxes are sometimes hard to find and can be expensive.

I can go into more detail if necessary, if you need it. Just post or PM me.
