Verification of TDC...................

Just to be sure I'm okay, if my motor is at TDC for cyl #1, how many CW turns of the crank will it take to return back to TDC for cyl #1?? I believe its 2 since the ratio of cam gear to crank gear is 2:1.

If you're at TDC of the compression stroke and you want to return to TDC of the compression stroke, you'll have to turn it twice. One turn will return you to TDC, but not on the same stroke.
