Engine build what should i expect
Ok guys, i'm hoping to pick upa used corvette 350 TPI.
I know a guy who has one with 75k miles on it and selling for $500. COmplete.
Now i wanan use the thing for a while unti i can get what i need.
But i wanan fully port and polish the heads.
run maybe 10.3:1 compression, and a 700-r4 out the back thats rebuilt.
I am thinking maybe a LT1 intake or some other sort to pick up the high end torque.
I want a reasonable high lift cam, nothing too loby, but i want you to be able to hear the lobes when i drive by.
So if i got a LT1 intake on a block running 10.3:1 compression, iunno, decent duration cam, i've always liked lt4 hotcam, and fully ported and polished aluminum corvette heads. Plus a rebuild 700-r4 out the back. What could i push out the wheels?

Sounds like a good setup although I dont think the Lt1 intake is worth the trouble, I would rather use the HSR. But with that setup I dont see why you couldnt make around 375hp at the fly and maybe 320 or so at the wheels. Good Luck.
