no fire to coil?
hi my car was running well for all summer i did'nt use it for a week ang when i try it it was'nt strating anymore starter and battery is fine. Had no fire to coil. so i change my coil and still does not fire. and with a multimeter i can read a constsant 12v at coil. what else can it be? distributon module ecm???
You need to make certain the pickup coil and reluctor in the base of the distributor are generating reference pulses for the HEI switching module. You also need to make sure the switching module is turning those pulses into power switching events to the ignition coil. For that to occur, the ignition coil also needs to have the correct primary resistance, correct power connection, and proper grounding.

well what is happening in your case you coil is building the magnetic field and is never breaking it. so if you coils fine it would ethier be you A/C pick up that got rusted into place and or you PU coil. try the wiggle test on the PU wires. plug the multimeter into both slots as directed in the above pitcure then wiggle it back and forth. if it shows any variation it's bad. and you need to go to the dealer **** and buy a new PU coil. not a hard thing to do. but if that truns out fine check the teeth on you a/c pick up the could be rusted into place.
