Adding EGR, to non-EGR manifold.
Adding EGR, to non-EGR manifold.
For visual inspection reasons, can EGR be added, in some way,
tio a non-EGR manifold.
EGR output would go into the bottom of a carb, or something.
Because of limited hood clearance, I have very few options.
Getting exhaust, from the ex manifold, not a problem.

You should be able to get exhaust from the intake manifold as well. An EGR valve from an early '80s Ford might work, since some of them were plumbed in with tubing. A few fittings, connect to your existibf EGR solenoid, and you're all set.

I've seen (worked on) a 74 Camaro that has a non-egr intake (Holley w/Holley carb on a 400 small block). It wouldn't pass a visual inspection either until an old EGR valve was bolted down to the small square port I believe was originally for a choke spring. The spacing was not the same so only one bolt could be used but after bolting it up and running a vacuum line up under the air filter it passed the visual. For what it's worth.
Oh, forgot to add that one corner of the egr valve had to be ground off in order have adequate clearance to bolt it up at that spot.
