Low Miles Engine w/ Slick50 in it...

Looking at buying a vehicle that has about 11,000 miles. Owner put in Silck50 on this motor, that since then has had an oil change. Owner uses Penzoil.

Are there any problems or issues I should expect out of this engine as a result of the use of Slick50???

Thanks

At 11K miles, at least everything should be seated. Even Pennzoil can't allow a lot of wear in that short an interval. Just to be safe, get rid of both of them, and switch to Amsoil or Mobil 1. I've had high mileage engines that have had Slick50 in them at various times, and had no problems switching to Mobil 1.

There are always worries when buying a used engine. Oil leaks, poor workmanship, etc. are lurking.

Have it leakdown tested as a precondition of sale. Look it over for evidence of leakage.
