Opinions on hedman

Whats everyone's opinons on the hedman long tube headers?
I think they are 1 5/8 primaries and 3in collectors. I will be using them on a 383 with trick flow heads, performer rpm intake, 770 holley street avenger carb, 10.5 to 1 comp. ratio, 1.5 roller rockers, xe274h flat tappet cam.

The only ones of that brand I have ever used were for a Jeep 401 and they were garbage. I had to totally rebuild the flange on the head end of the header. Total garbage. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone based on what I have witnessed.

Never used hedman long tubes on a thirdgen, but I have never had a problem with hedman shorties on thirdgens. Or longtubes on trucks made by hedman. They are the better quality of the cheaper headers. Just stay away from the summit or flowtech headers. Ask my why and I will tell you. ShiftyCapone can come in here and tell you also.

I have hedman LT's on my car. They fit very well and spark plug clearance is great. I did have to grind a little on the kmember to give some extra clearance but it was no big deal. I have also used Hooker LT's...the hedmans fit my car much better, but I've heard others say the hookers fit better on their car.

I used some for about 6 years with no problems. I now have Hooker LT's for the 406.
