A sandwich of questions

Ok, here's something for you guys:

When I drive on the freeway, after about 20-30 seconds of me applying just enough pressure on the gas to keep the needle at 60 MPH (which isn't much, maybe about 1/2 of an inch of pressure applied to the gas pedal), my car begins to lose power, and basically acts like a runner that's out of breath: "Ok, I've run a while, I'm out of breath...*catches breath* Ok, let's go again!"

When I let off the gas for about 3-5 seconds, air begins to flow into the engine, and all is well again! But wait 20-30 seconds, and I have to repeat the process.

I've run my new code scanner and I've gotten the following info:

12: Everything's groovy.

I've also done the following:

* Throttle body cleaned
* Injectors cleaned
* K&N Filter cleaned
* Running 92 Rating Octane
* Recent Oil Change (using regular oil)
* Tires inflated to 42/44 PSI
* Antifreeze is filled to appropriate capacity

But, I've recently noticed the following happen right after my most recent oil change:

A short burst of blue smoke emits from the tailpipe after a cold start.

I've read that the valve seals or something like that may be the most likely problem. Since I don't have time to go under the car and fix it myself, is it an easy fix, if I took it to a shop?

What does the purpose of a transmission fluid and filter replacemnt serve? I've noticed that my car tends to jerk rather roughly when going at low speeds when it goes to switch gears. No evidence of a shift kit has been found to be installed.

What good is a radiator flush? Is it the equivalent of an oil change for antifreeze?

Whenever I brake, it sounds like the rear passenger side starts to squeak quite a bit. Is that a sign that I should get my brakes on that particular side replaced?

Thanks again!

Jason

changing fluids reguardless of which ones removes dirt and gives you fresh clean fluid with all the additives still intact. the smoke on start up is from the valve seals. for the driveability problem i'd check fuel preasue and voulumn, fuel filter, and a clogged cat.

Well, smoke means valve seals. I had the same type of stumpling when I had my car. It ended up being corroded wires that go to the igniton module. That is located under the rotor. Check that out.

Oh, and by the way.. valve seals are an easy fix that require little more than your every day tools.
